Oxford Open Water Hydrogen Two Oxygen Heritage Boat Journeys

Processions - 1 July 2000

Five processions led 3,000 participants through Oxford city centre to South Park. Community groups came from around Oxfordshire carrying processional images made by their group at artist-led workshops. The images were made out of willow, sticky tape, cellophane and cane. The stage for the main event had also been decorated with sticky tape in the style of the processional images carried by the crowds. Over 400 miles of sticky tape were used in the processions and OOMF! show.
